:I understand your view, but I still disagree. Most people associate "Grand Theft Auto" with the series of games and the franchise, rather than the 1998 game "Grand Theft Auto". Whenever I refer to that first game, I would ''always'' say GTA 1, never GTA. Everyone understands this. Anyone looking for the GTA 1 game who comes to this page would understand and easily find the correct page. If we changed it, we would confuse more people (who were looking for the series but found the first game) than leaving it as it currently is. Also, it is much easier to type <nowiki>[[GTA]] or [[Grand Theft Auto]] than [[Grand Theft Auto (series)]] every time, and [[GTA 1]] or [[Grand Theft Auto 1]] is not much harder</nowiki>. However, I do take your point that some people may expect to find the GTA 1 game here. This is why the disambiguation is right at the top of the page.
