tocThere are many myths regarding the large world in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Only a couple of these really exist. While some were denied by developer Rockstar Games, the rest can not be proved or disproved. Most of these myths are either misconceptions or made up.

Cave Monster
The cave monster is located at fort carnon in the desert. Nobody is quite sure what it is but it seems almost invincible. There are 2 videos on youtube with the cave monster in. Many think it is a mod but others think a different way.
Jaws
Jaws
Jaws is the name given to sharks in GTA San Andreas. It has been debated whether or not they are really dolphins. Many people claim that they were eaten or stabbed to death while swimming. Those who do not believe in this myth usually blame the oxygen level which some people tend to forget to watch. There were many videos and pictures featuring the shark and CJ, quite often under the Gant Bridge. However, all cases of the shark's appearance were described in a different way, leading many people to believe that all of the stories are made up. Up to now, it is believed by many that sharks are not present in GTA San Andreas; if the dolphins are supposed to be sharks, they do not attack the player in any case.

Ghost cars
Ghost cars
One of the myths which was proved to exist. These are broken cars which spawn in the countryside areas of San Andreas. If they spawn on a slope, they roll down it as if they're being driven. There are a number of locations all over the countryside and the desert where smashed up Glendales can be seen, but only one of them is moving down the hill. Some people claim, that on rare occasions a glitch can occur, in which case Glendales can be seen cruising around Los Santos. It should be noted the there is a mod that makes ghost cars follow the player, like the car Christine. This is not as much a proven myth as a mistake. The battered up cars spawn so a player on foot in the woods would not have to walk all the way out, and their appearance is simply because they have been abandoned in the forest. Rockstar later said that it was a mistake from the creators. The cars spawn on a hill, so they will roll down, and were supposed to be on flat ground.

Some people have seen a ghostly vortex in San Fierro bay. This is one of the many blunders of Rockstar. The fact that the Vortex moves is due to the fact that it is on a slope on the beach. It slides down into the water and sinks. The "Ghostly Mist" that many people have claimed to have seen around it is just the sand flying up due to the Vortexes fan. Many people have thought something more was behind the Ghost Vortex due to the fact that when it stopped moving in the water, it occasionaly sinks. This is due to the fact that when it stops it hits a wedged in a cliff, so it sometimes is elevated to a sinking point.
Some people have seen a ghostly vortex in San Fierro bay. The reason for it to be moving is the same as for the ghost cars - it spawns on the slope.

Beverly Johnson's ghost
Beverly Johnson's ghost
This myth started when so-called "ghost graffiti" was discovered at Los Santos cemetery. Many people were claiming that Beverly Johnson's ghost appears in the kitchen/living room of CJ's house in Ganton every midnight. Sometimes the time varied - it had to be Halloween on the computer's clock, or it has to be Friday in the game. Some were saying that the ghost appears in the cemetery under the same, or similar, conditions. However, nobody has claimed that they have seen the ghost, neither are there any pictures or videos. Furthermore, Rockstar have officially denied it's existence.

This myth is also the one that did not get much support - in fact, it all has started with a video uploaded onto YouTube in 2006, featuring CJ in his living room looking around when the black girl appears from the television in the corner and disappears a second later. There is no other proof of this girl. It is believed that it is was either a glitch which caused a pedestrian to spawn in the house by mistake and was removed by the game immediately, or it was a mod for the PC version of GTA San Andreas. The dark figure looks very similar to a homeless pedestrian from San Fierro which has a sign that reads "God is playing with us!" on his chest - there was even a video on YouTube comparing both the TV girl and the tramp pictures. Currently, the myth is remembered occasionally, usually with an ironic purpose as there isn't any proof of the girl's existence apart from the short, blurred video.

The only two yellow markers that are found in the sky are above Cluckin' Bell in the desert. In order to proceed, you will need to enable cheats/hacks to reach these doors. They are far up in the sky and are reachable with cheats/hacks.

Reports say the two doors are only houses that were meant for Robbery Missions. Rockstar hides these interiors  for a reason for nobody to find or reach. In San Andreas, Rockstar hides these marks above San Andreas, and also hides Liberty City in the mission.(Saint Marks Bistro)

This is a proven myth. In Flint County near the Flint Intersection Bridge, a pedestrian is found taking photos usually once, but in rare times twice, and then walking into the water and drowning, this myth has been proven by many people.Like the Ghost Cars, the pedestrians vary all the time
