'''Alderney''' is a state to the west of all the [[Liberty City in GTA IV Era|Liberty City]] boroughs. It possesses 9 out of the Metro Area's 65 neighbourhoods. The only appearances of Alderney are in [[Grand Theft Auto IV]] and [[The Lost and Damned]]. Although Alderney is an independent state, it appears only a little bigger than Algonquin, which is a [[wp:borough|borough]]; there may be more of the state which is simply omitted so that the state can form an island (a practice seen in every GTA game since [[Grand Theft Auto: Vice City]]).
