Character history
Tao Cheng's Translator is a member of the Wei Cheng Triad who is employed by the gangs leader Wei Cheng to help translate for his son Tao who cannot speak English. Tao and his translator, on orders from Wei, meets Trevor Philips in Wei's attempts to expand his drug operations in the United States. The two are taken to his methamphetamine lab but are escorted into an refridgerator outside the building after the Los Varrios Aztecas launch an attack in revenge after Trevor destroyed Ortega's trailer. Tao and his translator later report back to Wei who decides to work with the O'Neil brothers. Tao's translator informs him of this after being beaten up, which results in Trevor destroying the O'Neil farm.
