Alderney State Correctional Facility

Alderney State Correctional Facility is a prison in south Alderney in GTA IV. It appears to be a medium security prison, as there are many armed guards patrolling the area, barbed wire fences and guard towers. It is not a maximum or supermax security prison, as such facilities are not located in or near most major cities. Despite the presence of exercise areas, no prisoners are ever seen outside the prison. It overlooks the West River and Algonquin. Even though the gates are heavily guarded, there is no mission involving prison breaks. Niko won't receive any wanted star levels if he enters the prison unless he shoots or hits an inmate or guard. The two known inmates are Gerry McReary and Dwayne Forge were incarcerated on various charges. Gerry McReary received a 25 years to life sentence and Dwayne Forge was recently released. The only way to gain access inside the prison is to use a helicopter or to use an ambulance or truck to jump over the wall.
