These are the following Race Tracks GTA IV's Race Mode in Multiplayer. Driving While High (in southwest Alderney) 15 Checkpoints  There are a pair of checkpoints that can be taken to cut off substantial time on this course:Instead of taking the left turn where CP8 is and going up the hill, turn down the road just before (where they may be oncoming traffic) to the highway. Just cut across between the medians to get back to the proper side.The final corner, where CP14 is, there is a easily breakable wooden fence a driver can plow right though.    Exhaust Fumes (in Alderny) 17 Checkpoints  There is really only one good shortcut on this track, but it is risky move at the last corner, so only do this on the last lap if it means stealing victory from the driver ahead! It is a bonzai move to crash through the fence, but if done right, CP16 can be barely clipped and a the player may slide ahead (or into) an opponent and beat them to the finish!     Thunder Road (in southern Alderny) 14 Checkpoints  One good shortcut, at the last corner, good to use anytime: cut across the grassy median instead of following the road right through CP13 to cut down on time. Just be sure to not cut the corner too much or the checkpoint may not be collected.    Industrial Action (in southern Alderny) 23 Checkpoints Plenty of sidewalks to cut across early in the lap, but there are a pair of good course-cutters towards the end:Smash through the fence at CP16. 9 times out of 10, a car/truck will have no problems driving through. Motorcycles are hard to take through there.Cut across the grass near CP21 on the left just past the fence to avoid the curbs all together and it helps keep up speed for the long final straightaway ahead.

Short Circuit (in central Alderny) 14 Checkpoints  One good shortcut proves "Risk vs. Reward" because at CP9, a racer can cut the corner where the poles are on the left, but risk striking one of them. The big brown pole on the corner is immoble and the grey street light in the middle can be knocked over and cause a vehicle to spin or roll.    Don't Look Down (in central Alderny) 16 Checkpoints Most Difficult Section: Checkpoints 6-7 and 8-10  No real good shortcuts here, just basic gas-and-brake on the course.    Duck And Weave (in northern Alderny) 19 Checkpoints  There are many time-saving tricks here, like a basic sidewalk drive going through a corner, but two early tricks can pay big dividends right fron the start.Crash through the chain link fence on the inside of the corner where CP2 is. Test this trick out from time to time to see how far away to get from this checkpoint without missing it because it can be very much worth it! Plow through the wooden fence near CP4 (it will be on the left at the end of a green hedge) so you can almost go straight from CP3 to CP5, collecting CP4 from a distance.     Drag Kings (in west Algonquin) 20 Checkpoints  The north end of the course has two good tricks to save time, both at the same spot:Just past CP6 and the following intersection, have the vehicle angled to CP8 instead of CP7 and hold the respawn button (Y). If done right, the player will be facing south and a bunch of time was saved from having to slow down and make a hairpin turn.After you are facing south from CP8, cut across the grass halfway between CP8 and CP9 and head directly towards CP10, collecting all those checkpoints without fail! Let the poles dictate where to turn in real early.    Rize In The East (in northern Algonquin) 18 Checkpoints  Not much of a shortcut, but if done right, lots of time can be saved. Follow the curvy road towards the difficult and slow section that CP15 awaits you at. This tricky left/right combo will really slow a driver down, so cut the corners in between the poles and the walls if possible to save some speed and time.     Horse Punch (in central Algonquin) 11 Checkpoints  Two good time-savers here:Recommended for only the start, cut across the corner at the first turn. Not a good idea for any other laps because the curbs won't grab a slower vehicle as much. At faster speeds, it is much more difficult to clear the curbing without problems. A higher-suspension vehicle, like a Patriot will be fine, but it's lack of speed makes it not worth driving anyways.Cut the sidewalk of course at CP5 (with caution) and at CP6, but be very careful with that one because it is very easy to cut the corner too much and miss the checkpoint.     Stars In Your Eyes (in central Algonquin) 9 Checkpoints (least of all tracks)  No real shortcuts here - just gas and go!    Road To Bohan (in west Bohan, Charge Island and northeast Algonquin) 20 Checkpoints  No major shortcuts here, aside from cutting across sidewalks in a couple locations (CP10 and CP14)    Round The Block (in central Algonquin, Charge Island and west Dukes) 17 Checkpoints  No shortcuts here - period.    Southern Switch (in south Broker and south Algonquin) 27 Checkpoints (most of all tracks)  Long track with many places to cut corners, mostly being sidewalks.    Bogan's Run (in west Bohan) 15 Checkpoints  No real place to cut corners, but riding the walls through the corners at CP5 and CP6 will keep up a good amount of speed withut having to slow down to take either turn.    Bawhan Dash (in Bohan) 21 Checkpoints  Another course of sidewalk-riding to cut corners, but there is one good location that helps shave time off. Between CP15 and CP16, the yellow route directs player to go near Niko's Bohan safehouse. Instead of doing that, take the left road that makes a slow right turn and rejoins the course at CP16.    Heel-And-Toe (in west Dukes and northern Broker) 16 Checkpoints  A few good cuts on this treacherous track:Cut across the grass at the start to bypass competitors quickly.Don't bother slowing down to make the turn towards CP4. Drive straight on through the grass, holding your speed up.Slow down just before the arch jump at CP7 to ensure a better chance of landing straight instead of flying over the road and crashing because of too much speed.Drive straight across the sidewalk at CP10 but beware that the car may bounce a bit and slide around going uphill towards CP11.    Quick Knives (in northern Dukes) 16 Checkpoints  Besides the basic sidewalk-cutting, ride the wall from CP11 to CP12.    Terminal Velocity (in central Dukes) 18 Checkpoints  No place to make major time here.    Taxiing (in east Dukes) 19 Checkpoints  Doesn't look like much, but there are several good shortcuts at the popular airport track:If the player is in a (traffic) jam, they could go squeeze through the pillars beyond CP6 and cut across the parking lot. Swing wide to pick up CP7, otherwise this shortcut is useless.Go to the left of the stiff light post just past CP11.Take your vehicle to the left of the carts at CP15, but stay close to them clip the checkpoint and shorten the corner substantially.
