The "naked" (no fairing) as well as half-fairing models clearly show the 90 degree, two cylinder engine that Ducati is famous for, and the engine sounds are much more similar to the throaty L-twin engine than the high-revving inline 4-cylinder engine in the CBR.

I would say that this motorcycle is more based on various Ducatis than a Honda.

The no-fairing version strongly resembles the Ducati Monster, which was produced in a 900cc version in the 90s.
