As far as I know you can't change that, it's based on your connection type. That's why you don't get an option while your setting up your network, it tells you your NAT type ''after'' you've set it up. However, I don't play online much, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask. I think I spent more time trying to make the online work when I first got my PS3, that I have actually playing online.
