Assault SMG: Difference between revisions

The '''Assault SMG''' is a new SMG in [[The Ballad of Gay Tony]]. It is based on the Belgian [[wp:FN P90|FN P90]], and it is classified as a [[wp:personal defense weapon|personal defense weapon]] as it features a cartridge size somewhere between a pistol round and an assault rifle round (the P90 uses the proprietary [[wp:5.7x28mm|5.7x28mm]] cartridge). It is outfitted with a functional suppressor as minimal muzzle flash is produced when the weapon is fired, however it cannot be used for stealth attacks. The Assault SMG is one of the first [[wp:bullpup|bullpup]] weapons offered in the GTA series. It is perfect for heated gunfights and easy to carry due to its light and compact size. It is more accurate than the [[MP5|SMG]] and holds 50 rounds per magazine, however it has less stopping power and takes longer to reload, owning to the fact that Luis finishes the reloading animation by briefly looking down the sights of the P90, adding about 3 seconds to the reloading process. If hiding behind low cover, like a car, Luis and the multiplayer player will take longer reloading the SMG (5 seconds). Unlike other SMGs, the Assault SMG '''cannot''' be used by the driver of a vehicle. [[NOOSE]]'s Tactical Response Unit and the [[Federal Bureau of Investigation|FIB]] use this weapon against the player in addition to their regular SMGs and [[AR-15|carbine rifles]].

* Despite having a silencer, the sound is still as loud as the Advanced MG, and it still makes nearby civilians scream.
