 Also, if the player approaches Upstate from the Portland side, and flies into the north-eastern hill mass their vehicle will disappear and reappear after a few seconds. The reason for the hills not being complete was the thought that no players can normally venture there. However in GTA Liberty City Stories, most of the hills actually have backsides (but are unsolid) instead of having large holes in the landscape.

-There was a rumor when gta IV came out on GtaForm.com that Gta 3 rendition of Liberty City was possibly connected to Gta IV's Liberty City rendition.People said that Bohan was possibly part of Gta 3's Wichita Gardens in Shoreside Vale .They also said that the unfeatured hill part that lies behind Cedar Grove also known as [[Upstate]] was part of Algonquin people thought that since the story took place in 2001 the city might not have been constructed though this turned out to be false.Another theory people suggested was that the Glitch city behind shorside Vale was probaly Algonquin and people also thought that Shoreside Vale was Gta IVs 1st island due to the fact that it had a Francis International Airport.Though Rockstar Games later confirmed that the two Liberty Cities were not Linked in anyway.
