The Micro Uzi was developed in 1982 as a [[Machine Pistol|machine pistol]] version of the [[Uzi]] carbine.  The Uzi family of SMGs was developed in Israel by Uziel Gal in the early 1950s. The weapon can be equipped with a sidefolding stock, which doubles as a foregrip when folded.
