The removed sentence implies the M249 is better suited in VCS than the M60 is in VC due to terminology; but the M60 is -OLDER- than the M249, and they BOTH were issued in the US armed forces during the events of both games.
(A "heavy assault weapon" makes absolutely no sense; let's simply refer as what it is rather than throw buzzwords.)
