'''Derek''' is a character in the [[Grand Theft Auto|Grand Theft Auto series]] who appears as a minor character in [[Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas]]. Derek is an employee at a gas station in Dillimore, where he serves people at the till. He is seen in the mission ''Tanker Commander'', where he reluctantly gives chase (with another employee) to [[Carl Johnson]] and [[Catalina]] who had stole a tanker full of petrol. He is killed in the pursuit, although there is no guaranteed way that he dies. The player can chose to kill him by shooting him, or if the player drivers the tanker to [[Mr. Whittaker|Mr. Whittaker's]] [[RS Haul]] depot, the car giving chase crashes into the petrol station next to RS Haul and explodes.
