Good Template?

Relivant parts of this discussion imported from Grand Theft Wiki talk:Move from Wikia. See here for the full history.

what do you think of the template i made? i made it about a week before we moved :) MegaHyperNova 02:45, 25 October 2010 (BST)

The template looks fine to me, you just need to start using it on more articles (it's currently only used in one article). Perhaps it could use some extra parameters, such as city? year? Anything else? JFletcherTalk (formerly User:Biggest gta fan ever) 02:53, 25 October 2010 (BST)
Oh yeah the page didn't get transfered so i pasted the code here from the last wiki, lols. plus i made that template pretty fast, but i can add extra features, not tonight, but maybe sometime this week :) MegaHyperNova 02:58, 25 October 2010 (BST)
Hmm, I should have looked at the dates in the history... And that's fine, I was just making a suggestion, no need to do it now. JFletcherTalk (formerly User:Biggest gta fan ever) 03:01, 25 October 2010 (BST)

Editing look/style

I didn't even know we had one of these, but now that I found it I'd like to use it more on the different articles where it would fit. A few questions though:

  1. Are we allowed to edit the code that produces this infobox? I think just gray and black looks pretty dull.
  2. The "Style" part in the code doesn't actually show up in the finished infobox, can anyone fix that?

Yes, you can edit this code, however fancy colours are not really appropriate. I'm trying to make infoboxes more consistent - these are supposed to be functional rather than attention-grabbing or pretty. However, feel free to make subtle changes to see how it looks! As you can see at wp:Template:Infobox (as this template uses our Template:Infobox), it's "bodystyle" that you need to use as an input, not "style". gboyers talk 01:06, 31 October 2011 (GMT)

That's not what I meant, if you look at the code there is a row where you can enter the "style" of the radio station, i.e what kind of music they play. However, even if you do, it won't appear in the finished infobox. Is that something that someone can fix? The code looks way too complicated for me so I will just leave it alone. :)

Here is an example:

Radio Station

Do you know how to check the template code? It uses genre instead of style.--spaceeinstein 21:23, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

Nope. I had a look at it but that wall of text doesn't say anything to me really. --Andreaz1 (talk) 21:37, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
