GTA V Foreshadowing in GTA IV
Possible foreshadowing of GTA V
Despite all the speculations and predictions of where Grand Theft Auto V would take place, Rockstar North put the answer right under our noses in GTA IV. In the Firefly Island Amusement Park, located quite near the gold course mentioned below, there are two rides with backdrops of exact images which are in the end of the GTA V Trailer. The rides are adjacent to each other, one featuring the Vinewood Sign and the Los Santos skyline, as well as a jet, most likely the Shamal. The other features palm trees on a purple background. These pictures may suggest that GTA V has been in production since the release of GTA IV, or at least the location of the future game was known.

In the amusement park, located quite near the miniature golf course, there is a fairground ride with a backdrop made up of three screenshots from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: the Vinewood Sign, a Hydra hovering in front of the Los Santos skyline, and a Shamal flying over the countryside. The similarity of this mural and the end of the Grand Theft Auto V trailer (where a private jet flies over the Vinewood Sign and towards Los Santos) has lead many to believe that the mural was a deliberate hint towards the location of GTA V, which would suggest that Rockstar North had planned the production of GTA V before releasing GTA IV.
