Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Stories

Does this really need to be on the template? It has not even been announced by Rockstar. George 22:09, 12 April 2007 (BST)

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Stories doesn't need to be there at all, I put it on so that perhaps we could start a debate as to whether it will exist or not. Northing wrong with a bit of healthy discussion. There's nothing to say it exists at all other than logic (they've done 2 out of 3) and the fact that they have an entire studio of developers (Rockstar Leeds) to do it, and that they don't have anything out for the PSP since VCS, and there're no new portable consoles out yet. If we never hear anything from Rockstar about it, we'll file it all under rumours. We'll take it off the template in a few weeks if it turns out that nobody cares. Alright then. George 22:30, 12 April 2007 (BST)

I've removed it now, I always thought it was pointless to have it, and seeing as R* have said they aren't working on another PSP game, it really shouldn't be here. Also, if they aren't working on it by now then it's extremely doubtful the game will ever be made. Chris 21:29, 20 May 2007 (BST)

GTA IV Radio Stations

Can a link to "Radio Stations in GTA IV" be added?

Add New Character

Please add the new character, Huang Lee, from Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars to the template. JMBZ-12 18:48, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

That will be done when the game is released. --GuildKnightTalk2me 21:07, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. JMBZ-12 22:02, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
I originally mentioned it on the Discussion for the Main Page but since I've found the discussion for the actual template, I'll just say it here. Like the above, Johnny Klebitz needs to be added to the Characters (in brackets) as should (The Lost and Damned) be added after GTA IV. This should also be done for the missions section etc and anything that may have a section in The Lost and Damned should also link to those pages since the DLC has now been released. --Aussiebushmatt 10:37, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Chinatown Wars

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is released.

Radio Stations

There should be Radio Stations in GTA 1,Radio Stations in GTA London, and Radio Stations in GTA 2 in this template.-User:BloodyGTA

Splitting

This template is getting massive. I think we need a smaller one that can go on most pages (at {{GTA}}), and this full one can be used elsewhere. Or perhaps we should have this one expanding? Gboyers talk 15:26, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

I agree that we should make smaller templates as you said (one for GTA 1,one for GTA 2,etc.)-User:BloodyGTA
We could make each section a drop-down menu, like this.--spaceeinstein 23:36, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Now that you've made those changes, the overlap on the Main Page is back (Screenshot). Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 03:11, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Oops, i forgot about smaller resolutions! I've set the width to blank (on the homepage), so it should automatically adjust itself. If not, I'll set it to a permanent 80% width or something. Gboyers talk 11:52, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
That fixed it! Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 06:26, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Vehicles in GTA London

I've noticed that a significant amount of articles link to the Vehicles in GTA London disambiguation page, instead of Vehicles in GTA London 1969 and Vehicles in GTA London 1961 - from what I can gather, the problem is with this template, because it has "London 1969/1961", but it links to the disambiguation page. Would it be possible to change it so that "London 1969" links to the 1969 vehicles, and "1961" links to the 1961 vehicles? So it would look like this: London 1969/1961. I was going to try doing that myself, but the template is locked. - Hardrock182 21:51, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Done! Gboyers talk 23:23, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Another thing I've noticed is that at least 90% of the pages in Special:Disambiguations link to the Liberty City disambiguation page, to be honest that is unavoidable, but perhaps the template could have "Liberty City (III)/(IV)" or something along those lines. Like I said, this is, in my opinion, unavoidable, because it's better to link to the disambig, but it does make Special:Disambiguations slightly confusing, as I can't tell whether an article has an incorrect link to Liberty City in GTA III Era, or it is due to this template - and in some cases, it may even be both.

Another thought I had is that we could link "Liberty City" to Liberty City in GTA IV (as it is the most recent rendition, and the current "era") and just include a note at the top of that article mentioning, and linking to, Liberty City in GTA III Era. - Hardrock182 10:49, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Can't you just change each one to link to the correct rendition? I know that's a lot of edits, but it only has to be done once, and you can easily work from this list. In terms of Liberty City to the most recent rendition, I would only do that if there was one page/rendition that was used a LOT more than any of the others. An example could be Mike - most people would be looking for the protagonist Mike, so that's where the page goes - the other (much less used) pages are linked to separately. But for Liberty City, both the GTA III Era and GTA IV Era pages are used a lot, so we can't really relegate one of them under the other - it would get confusing. Gboyers talk 13:23, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
I never even considered the "What links here" page, although I think the template is still contributing to that list aswell, but no worries, there isn't really that many pages to look through - so I'll just check each page, like you said, and see if I can find any actual links within the articles that need to be edited. - Hardrock182 14:23, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

London '69 - '61weapons

The GTA London 1969 and GTA London 1961 sections should be expanded with weapon sections. I created two redirect pages (Weapons in GTA London 1969 and Weapons in GTA London 1961) which redirect to Weapons in GTA 1 Era. - Madárijesztő 17:40, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

"IV"

Could someone remove the "IV" in GTA: The Lost and Damned and GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony. It used to be in the TLAD logo, yes, but TBOGT was never called "Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony" and the updated logo of TLAD on the GTA: Episodes From Liberty City disc doesn't show a "IV" anymore either. -- Master Sima Yi 18:20, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

2 games released on the same day

was Grand Theft Auto Advance released on the same day as, before or after GTA: San Andreas? -- PK2PK2 06:47, 16 October 2010 (BST)
