The PlayStation 2, or PS2, is Sony's successor to the original PlayStation (PS1). It features an improved CPU, better graphics, and online gaming capabilities for certain games.
The PS2 has been superseded by the PlayStation 3, which (alongside the Xbox 360 and Wii) is a current-generation gaming console, and will be the platform for future Grand Theft Auto games (it already has Grand Theft Auto IV.
