This is the final mission given by Francis McReary. It is unlocked after completing Derrick's final mission, Tunnel of Death. Francis will send Niko a text message telling him to meet Francis in Castle Drive. Once there, he will tell you that Derrick being in Liberty City is a problem for Francis because Derrick may expose evidence of his corruption. Francis then asks Niko to "stop" Derrick. After the cutscene, Derrick will call Niko, telling him that Francis wants to meet with him. He is afraid that Francis may try to kill him, so he asks Niko to get Francis for him.

Once you get to Lancet, Francis will call you, giving you instructions and telling you to not miss and hit him, to which Niko responds that he will get who he is aiming at. Head to the front of the building and climb the wood. Head over to the far elevator that's used to clean the windows. Control it to the roof and draw your sniper. Head to the marker.

You have a choice: kill Francis or Derrick McReary. You will see a scene of Derrick and Francis nicely talking to each other. Aim your sniper rifle at the park bench and quickly decide who to kill. Aim at their head and shoot. You can also aim at their body but that will require two shots and they might run away. While it is possible to shoot both brothers, you will have to redo the mission.

Get off the building to receive your reward.

Rewards

Francis McReary

If you decided to to kill Francis, believe it or not you get nothing but a clean conscience. However, Francis is an extremely corrupt cop who is trying to become the police chief through all of Liberty City, and that would make the bad much worse. Francis' mother will not be very concerned with Francis' death, as she expected it to happen because he is a cop.

Derrick McReary

If you killed Derrick you will get a large sum of money($10,000 or $20,000). You also gain the temporary ability to get rid of a 3 star wanted level or less. Mrs. McReary will be very sad if Derrick dies, as he has never lived a succesful life.

Either way you still unlock the following mission.

Tips

If you are planning to kill Derrick, call Francis right before you are planning to snipe. He will offer a larger reward for Derrick's death. However, if you are planning to kill Francis, this call is pointless.
Be careful not to fall off of the building you snipe from. It looks like a low roof but the player will get killed if they fall.
