The car wash is a business featuring in Grand Theft Auto IV that lets the player take any passenger car, light truck or SUV to this facility to remove dirt, grime, and the occasional blood. It is not usable if the player has a wanted level. The charge is $5 (see exception) per vehicle, per wash.
Locations
Big Horn Drive, Westdyke, North Alderney
Tinderbox Avenue, Tudor, South Alderney
Hell Gate, Purgatory, Western Algonquin
Tutelo Avenue, Beechwood City, Northern Broker
Saratoga Avenue, Willis, Southern Dukes
Exception
Any Taxi is charged $3 at all car washes, except the car wash in Tudor, Alderney.
Convertibles
Convertible vehicles with the top down will be washed by hand.
N/A Vehicles
These following vehicles cannot be washed at any Car Wash:
- Police vehicles (Cruiser, Patriot, Stockade, FIB Buffalo, similar)
- Commercial vans (Speedo, Rumpo, Burrito, Laundromat, similar)
- Box trucks (Boxville, similar)
- Heavy trucks (Packer, similar)
- Public Service Vehicles (Firetruck, Trashmaster, Ambulance, Bus)
- Motorcycles (Sanchez, NRG900, Zombie)
- Boats or aircraft
Bug
