Israel, officially the State of Israel (Hebrew: מְדִינַת יִשְׂרָאֵל‎, Medīnat Yisrā'el; Arabic: دولة إِسرائيل‎, Dawlat Isrāʼīl) is a nation located in the Middle East with borders with Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. Israel is regarded as the home nation for people of Jewish descent.
