A Laundromat in GTA IV (Rear quarter view).

The Declasse Laundromat is a laundry van featured only in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Description

The Laundromat is essentially a Burrito, to the point the "Burrito" badge is present at the rear of the vehicle. The van is distinguishable by its "Monthly Cycle Laundromat" signage on its side panels (referencing a woman's menstrual cycle) and rear door and the lack of roof rack that most other Burrito's have. Performance wise, however, the Laundromat is no different from a Burrito.

The Laundromat is considerably rare due to its absence in traffic and brief availability in missions.

Prominent appearances

In GTA IV, the Laundromat is first featured during "Hung Out to Dry", used by a laundromat owner who attempts to escape from Niko. It seems to be unintended to be driven by the player, but nonetheless, if the player goes around the back of the Laundromat during the mission, it can be stolen and saved at a safehouse. Theft of the van before the chase will result in the player failing the mission. A Laundromat is also featured as part of scripted traffic during a car case in "Meltdown", where it is seen driven in The Triangle. This may lead to a mission failure, unless you are fast enough to catch them.

A few of these vans can also be found in the final mission of The Lost and the Damned, but it cannot be taken, since they are locked and Johnny won't break the window.

Trivia

The Laundromat is not to be confused with a Burrito with "Spin on This Laundromat" labels, which is still labeled as a Burrito when entered.
