Nightstick
Each cop since GTA Vice City is issued with a nightstick (truncheon) as a standard meleé weapon. Although not as powerful as the baseball bat it has an advantage of being a single-handed weapon and thus a quicker running speed. You cannot purchase the nightstick from hardware stores or Ammunation, so it is only obtainable from killing a cop or finding it at a police station.
