Solair
The Solair is a station wagon available in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto IV, and is similar to the Stratum, but much less appealing, due to a more “family” oriented design and inferior performance.
Design
The Solair resembles a 1992 Ford Taurus station wagon in San Andreas. In Grand Theft Auto IV, it resembles a 2004 Mercury Sable station wagon.
Performance
The acceleration is mediocre, although it is surprisingly sporty, and handles well for a midsize station wagon; thus reflecting the Taurus' handling traits. Despite its non-sporty appearance, it actually goes faster than the Stratum, but takes longer to reach maximum speed. Despite being rear-wheel drive, the vehicle is underpowered by the weak V6, which unlike the Stratum’s engine, is moving a much heavier chassis. The Solair’s bulk, however, does endow it with the capability to withstand more damage than the Stratum.
