Alberto Robina is a character in the 3D Universe who appears as a minor character in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (set in 1986) and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (set in 1984). He is the owner of Café Robina and the father of Umberto Robina. He is voiced by Jorge Pupo in GTA Vice City Stories while his voice actor in GTA Vice City is uncredited.
Character history
Alberto Robina, the father of Cubans gang leader Umberto Robina, opened up Café Robina in Little Havana, Vice City in the mid-1950s. Alberto is also known to have a heart condition and in 1984 this almost leads to his death as Victor Vance, on orders from Umberto, rescues him from a planned Cholos attack at the Hyman Memorial Stadium following a wrestling event. In their attempt to escape the Cholos, Alberto's heart condition almost led to his death. Alberto survives the attempted attack and returns to his café and continues to work in the café in 1986 where he meets Tommy Vercetti, Umberto's latest hired gun.
