Don Peyote is a mission in GTA San Andreas given by The Truth to the protagonist Carl Johnson.

Walkthrough

The mission begins as The Truth tells the player retrieve two of his drug addled buddies. Apparently, his buddies were on "a peyote safari" in the desert. Grab a car and hit the road. It's a long drive. Most likely, by the time the player reaches the two at Arco del Oeste, they will have wrecked a car or two (this is assumed because it's a long drive, and it takes the player through some rough terrain). When the player picks up them up they are too exhausted to walk and thus the player collects a vehicle. They tell the player to stop off at a snake farm east of Verdant Meadows. Almost immediately it's patrons will chase the player out. Ether kill them (shooting an RPG at the main building will kill most of them right away) or get in a car chase. The stoners tell the player to take them to Rosie's, which is Caligula's Palace. It is a casino in Las Venturas. Head there for an interesting cutscene.

Trivia

  • The stoners are shortly later revealed to be Maccer and Kent Paul.
  • Kent and Maccer claim there were others in the desert.
  • After the player has picked up Kent and Maccer, Kent will say that he's not feeling right, in response, Maccer will delibertely suggest that he should eat innappropriate food. As a result, Kent will demand that the player pull over and he will literally get out of the car and vomit.
  • This mission can be done easy by getting the Maverick helicopter from The Emerald Isle's helipad, as it has two more passenger seats at the back. As the game assumes you are more likely to use a car, text and CJ still talk about "car" rather than helicopter.
  • If player lets the cowboys chase them to casino there would be a fight between Kent, Maccer, CJ and the chasers.
