Roman's Child

The unborn child of Roman Bellic and Mallorie Bardas, and niece/nephew to Niko Bellic, has a different gender and name depending on which ending is played in Grand Theft Auto IV.

In the Deal ending, they have a son named Roman Bellic, Jr. He is named after his father Roman Bellic, who was killed by an assassin's stray bullet. The assassin was sent by Dimitri Rascalov to assassinate Niko Bellic, but failed and was killed by Niko. He is only mentioned in one mission, Mr and Mrs Bellic. After the mission, Mallorie Bardas will phone Niko, say that she is pregnant and if her baby is a boy, she will call him Roman after his deceased father. She also says that Roman Bellic, Jr will struggle without a father. Niko then says he will look after the child as if he was the father and that Roman Bellic, Jr will never have to worry about anything.

In the Revenge ending, they have a daughter named Kate Bellic. She is named after Niko Bellic's girlfriend Kate McReary, who was killed by Jimmy Pegorino, who was angered by the fact that Niko refused to participate in a drug deal with Dimitri Rascalov and attempted to kill Niko himself, only to shoot and kill Kate instead. She is only mentioned in one mission, Mr and Mrs Bellic. After the mission, Roman Bellic will phone Niko and say that he is sorry for the events of the wedding and if their baby is a girl, they will call her Kate after Kate McReary.
