An Ingot.

The Vulcar Ingot is a car available in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. After Niko Bellic collects all thirty cars for Stevie, Stevie agrees to purchase cars from Niko, with the Ingot fetching $1,000.

Description

The Ingot is a wagon that looks much like a Nissan Stagea WC34, such as the taillights and the side profile, etc.; but it being manufactured by Vulcar might suggest that it is based on a fourth generation Volkswagen Jetta. However the Stagea is a more performance-orientated car, where the Ingot doesn't seem to be. Ironically it tries to be with its racing pedals and steering wheel inside.

The Ingot is powered by a low powered V5 or V6 engine, coupled to a 4 speed gearbox in RWD configuration. The Ingot's engine noise is high-pitched, reminiscent of Volkwagen's trademark VR5 and VR6 engines; these engines are in the fourth generation VW Jetta and both have less than 200 horsepower. It's also not very reliable and the engine may stop working after only a few crashes. The Ingot isn't very fast either, after finding 4th gear, the car hesitates or doesn't downshift at all when on wide open throttle. But it does have decent handling and its suspension is not too hard or too soft, making it perfect for the streets of Liberty City.

Variant

A special R type version can occasionally be found; it's an Ingot with removed badging and new grill, a small spoiler with a small body kit, and candy red paint. This version can mostly be found in the Hove Beach area, as it's driven by Russian Mafia members.

Locations

The Ingot can frequently be found near Roman's taxi firm in Broker.
