Checkpoint Charlie is an asset mission in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It is available after the purchase of the Boatyard in Viceport, Vice City.
Mission
The mission can be activated by entering either the Squalo or the Jetmax located by the jetties. The Jetmax is arguably the better choice due to its higher acceleration and top speed, though this might work against the player by overshooting the ramps or going too fast to turn tight enough. The objective of the mission is to collect packages strewn across the waters. The countdown timer starts right away after the cutscene at two and a half minutes.
Reward
The reward for completing the mission is $5,000 and the completion of the Boatyard asset, which will generate in daily profits. Each subsequent completion of the mission will result in a different reward, time, and weather condition until the mission is completed for the sixth time. Exact values are listed below:
- 1st time: 2:30, $5,000
- 2nd time: 2:25, $6,000
- 3rd time: 2:20, $7,000
- 4th time: 2:15, $8,000
- 5th time: 2:10, $9,000
- 6th and all subsequent times: 2:00, $15,000
