Grand Theft Wiki has a number of templates to help give consistency in how games work
Game ID
The {{id}} template gives you the correct ID for a GTA game, used in all these other templates.
This means whether someone inputs GTA 4 or GTA IV or Grand Theft Auto IV into a template, it will use the id template to translate that into iv.
The other template can then just supply the correct output for iv and not need to worry about the other permutations.
This means that if someone uses another tmeplate like {{icon}}, but supplies a name in any format, it should work. For example, {{icon|four}} still gives
