The Savanna is a four-door open top lowrider in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Description

Due to the fact that it is a lowrider, the Savanna can be to enter the lowrider competion with hydraulics equipped, however it doesn't always spawn with hydraulics. It is a four-door, making it rather suitable for drive-bys. The Grove Street Families also uses the Savanna as one of their gang cars.

Design

The Savanna resembles a 1963 Chevrolet Impala except the top of the grille has been altered to make it reminiscent of a 1964 Impala (and a similar design of the front bumper is mirrored with the back bumper). In beta screenshots, however, the grille isn't altered and it almost completely resembles a 1963 Impala. The back has a pair of two taillights similar to Chevy Bel Air and Biscayne models instead of an Impala, probably to avoid legal disputes. The name may come from "impala", because the animal is commonly found in savannas.

While normally appearing with only an open top, the car can be modified in Loco Low Co. to feature a hard top or a soft convertible top.

Performance

The Savanna is primarily speedy, with good acceleration to complement this trait. However, the car, like the Blade, has wide handling the and has tendency to spin out of control if steered with the handbrake in use.

• Found commonly in Grove Street Families territories
• Near a house west of Loco Low Co. in Willowfield, Los Santos
• Parked inside the second floor of the Wang Cars showroom in San Fierro after the completion of Customs Fast Track

Trivia

• Cesar Vialpando's car is a red Savanna with red seats and no hydraulics, except for one instance in the mission Photo Opportunity, in where the car may have hydraulics. The license plate reads "LVA4L", referring to the Varrios Los Aztecas, Cesar's gang.
• The default radio station in the Savanna is Radio Los Santos.
