The Shoreside Redemption is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories given to protagonist Toni Cipriani by Leone Family Don Salvatore Leone from his prison cell in Pike Creek, Shoreside Vale, Liberty City.

Mission

Salvatore Leone is going to court and Salvatore knows that the Sicilian Mafia won't want him to get there, believing he will be released. Toni Cipriani follows the Securicar that Salvatore is being transported in, protecting him from attacks by the Sicilian Mafia. When he arrives at the town hall in Bedford Point, Salvatore is found not guilty and released. Salvatore leaves, heading to his home in Saint Mark's and tells Toni to meet him there.

Toni Cipriani: Sal, you there?

Salvatore Leone: Anthony! I'm getting out! My arrangement's today!

Toni Cipriani: Great!

Salvatore Leone: Yeah, but I got this notion that the Sicilians don't want me to make it to court. With me in here, who's stopping them from taking over?

Toni Cipriani: Hey, they'd have to get through me first Sal.

Salvatore Leone: Yeah, Toni. Whatever. Just make sure I get my day in court! Hey, the guards are coming now... I'll see you round the front.

(Salvatore begins his journey to the court but is attacked by the Sicilian Mafia)

Toni Cipriani: Holy shit!

(Toni escorts Salvatore)

Radio: Illegal road block reported in the area.

(Toni escorts Salvatore to the court house, where he is found not guilty)

Salvatore Leone: It's good to be a free man again. But listen, I'm gonna go to my house and get rid of these stinking rags, okay? I'll meet you up there.

Reward

The reward for completing this mission is $4,000 and the final storyline mission, The Sicilian Gambit, is unlocked.

Trivia

Its name is a reference to the prison film based on the story by author Stephen King: The Shawshank Redemption.
It is possible to change vehicle to any vehicle, except the Securicar containing Salvatore Leone, even if instructed to use a police vehicle.

After that, Salvatore will be pulled out of his cell by two cops and will get placed in a [[Securicar]] outside, the caravan, fromed by a squad car, the Securicar with Sal and you will take off.
