Denise Robinson

Denise Robinson is a character in the 3D Universe who appears as a minor character in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. She is an associate of the Grove Street Families, who later becomes one of protagonist Carl "CJ" Johnson's girlfriends, and lives in Ganton, Los Santos. She is voiced by Heather Alicia Simms.

Character history

Denise was born and raised in Ganton, Los Santos, growing up surrounded by Grove Street Families gangsters and knowing of the gang's leader Sean "Sweet" Johnson and his younger brother Carl "CJ" Johnson. She, at some point, purchased a house in Ganton and had three children, giving all three away. Denise begins spending time with Los Santos Vagos gangsters in East Los Santos, believing it to be dangerous as she "likes to live dangerously" but is later put in massive danger when Carl, on orders from corrupt C.R.A.S.H. officer Frank Tenpenny, sets fire to house belonging to Vagos members that Denise had been visiting. Carl, upon hearing Denise's screams, enters the house and rescues her, later driving her back home. Denise asks Carl to visit her again and the two begin dating. She later seems to become obsessed with Carl, phoning Radio Los Santos to do a shout out, saying that she is "desperate" for his attention.

• Denise is one of only two girlfriends that are mandatory for Carl to encounter, the other being Millie Perkins, in order to complete all of the game's missions. It is possible to complete the game without encountering any of the other girlfriends.
• Denise can be killed by Carl anytime after Burning Desire.
• Denise wears a t-shirt with the word "Growler" on the back.
• Denise has a customised number plate on her Hustler, which says "HOMEGIRL".
• Denise's Hustler can be stolen by pushing/towing it back to one of Carl Johnson's garages and allowing the garage door to close.
• Denise continues to live in Ganton after the Ballas take control and continues to perform drive-by shootings.
• Pedestrians with Denise's character model can be seen in A Home in the Hills running through Madd Dogg's mansion. Attacking them has no effect on the player's progress with Denise.
• Denise aspires to open a local beauty shop.
• Denise dislikes Red County.
• Denise is the only girlfriend who does not mind Carl having any heat on himself, though she might occasionally exclaim that the cops are onto the duo when on a date.
