The Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory, or simply Cherry Poppers, is, as the name states, an ice cream factory in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. The factory is located in Little Havana, Vice City. The Cherry Popper Ice Cream Company is based in the factory. After the mission Shakedown in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the player can purchase the factory as an asset and then use it as a save point.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
In 1986, Tommy Vercetti buys the factory and the Cherry Popper Ice Cream Company from former owner Maude Hanson. Tommy initially bought the factory, believing it to be an actual Ice Cream Factory, but is then told by a grumpy Maude Hanson that the ice cream factory is actually a front to distribute drugs (possibly cocaine). Upon finding out that the ice cream is a front and that the factory actually distributes drugs, Tommy starts using the company trucks to Distribute drugs in the streets of Vice City. After successfully selling 50 units, the factory starts generating $3,000 a day.
Role in missions
In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory serves as the primary location in the mission Loose Ends. In the mission, Tommy is informed of a "valuable exchange" taking place on the roof of the Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory between the Sharks and men in black suits. He is then ordered to kill everyone involved, take the merchandise and take it to an unnamed helipad at Escobar International Airport. Tommy enters the compound at the back of the factory, kills everybody involved and gradually works his way to the roof. He kills the men involved in the exchange, steals the merchandise and, using the nearby Maverick, he successfully takes the merchandise to the helipad.
Outside GTA Vice City
In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Cherry Popper Ice Cream stalls selling ice cream can be found on the streets of San Andreas, mostly in Los Santos and San Fierro. Carl Johnson can buy Cherry Popper ice cream from the stall in order to replenish his health, stave off hunger or just to gain fat.
The factory exists in 1984 but it isn't owned by the company. Oddly, the factory is still blue, claiming that the company didn't paint it after buying the factory.
Cherry Poppers save bug
The save point of the Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory is known to cause corruption in saved files. For safety purposes, players should save the game elsewhere instead.

Trivia
Cherry popper is a take on a girl's first sexual experience (losing virginity). The top of the building has two large mounds of ice cream resembling a pair of woman's breasts.
- Cherry Poppers products can be seen in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
- The Cherry Poppers logo can be seen on the side of the dumbbells in the gyms in San Andreas.
- The Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory logo appears on the side of Mr. Tasty vehicles in Grand Theft Auto IV.
- In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, if you angle the camera right you can make the ice cream from on the roof of Vice City appear.
