Maude Hanson, credited as Maude the Ice Cream Lady, is a character in the Grand Theft Auto series who appears as a minor character in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (set in 1986). She runs The Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory in Little Havana, Vice City. She is voiced by Jane Gennaro.

Character history

Maude Hanson, described as "psychotic" and a "sociopath" by the Vice City Police Department, had at one point run a children's home, although she later comes to hate children. She later began to run The Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory in Little Havana, Vice City and used the business as a front to sell drugs to people across the city. The police, by 1986, had begun to investigate her actions, knowing the company to be a front but not anything specific, although she later sold the business to Tommy Vercetti, persistently asking him is he was once a child. Vercetti, after purchasing the business, continues to sell drugs through the company.
