Demolition Man is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City given to protagonist Tommy Vercetti by Texas property developer Avery Carrington from his construction site in Vice Point, Vice City.

Mission

Avery Carrington is looking at some prime development land to claim, which is located up the road from his construction site. Avery's problem is that construction on the site has already began, so Avery asks Tommy to destroy the site. Tommy leaves Avery's construction site and walks to a place directly opposite the site, where a Top Fun van is located with an RC Goblin and four bombs. Tommy enters the van and uses the RC Goblin to drop bombs onto various targets inside the construction site, whilst avoiding the attacking construction workers and security guards. After Tommy places the four bombs in the building, they detonate and damage the buildings structure.

Avery Carrington: Now look here, son. I got a problem and I reckon you could help me with it.

Tommy Vercetti: I'm no builder.

Avery Carrington: No, I was thinking more of your demolition skills. Now this here, this is the development as planned and this, this is the property that we're looking at.

Tommy Vercetti: You're trying to say this new office block is kind of in the way.

Avery Carrington: You catch on quick. Now I'm going to head out of town for a while and if that office development were to face sudden and insurmountable structural problems, then I..

Tommy Vercetti: As a civil minded individual you'd feel obliged to step in and save the rejuvenation of an important area of the city?

Avery Carrington: Where can I get more guys like you!?

Reward

The reward for completing this mission is $1,000. If the mission Rub Out for Lance Vance has been completed, an RC Goblin box will spawn in the lounge of the Vercetti Estate. If the mission Phnom Penh '86 for Ricardo Diaz has been completed, the mission Two Bit Hit for Avery Carrington will be unlocked. The construction site will remain in ruins for the remainder of the game.

Trivia

The mission's name is a reference to the 1993 action movie of the same name.
