Antagonist
Antagonists or simply, Enemies, are the main villains of the Grand Theft Auto games.
Description of Most Antagonists
In most GTA games with antagonists, they usually fake a friendship or business relationship with the main character then suddenly, in one mission, reveal their hate for the main character and begin to open fire on them with a weapon. The main character always hunts down and eliminates the antagonist eventually.
Antagonists usually have a gang behind them for protection. The main character will battle the antagonist group and usually take them over.

Frank Tenpenny

Antagonist Group: Tenpenny is/was a corrupt police officer for the city of Los Santos, San Andreas and therefore is not an official "member" of a certain gang, but the most likely candidate for an antagonist group are the Ballas who are constantly attempting to weaken and take over the Grove Street Families.

Jerry Martinez
Game: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
Antagonist Group: Similar to Tenpenny, Martinez is a corrupt Sergeant for the United States Army and is not in any gang. He does however have control over some gangsters in Vice City that try to kill protagonist Vic Vance, but they are not an official gang. The Mendez Cartel, headed by the Mendez Brothers, is basically the Antagonist Group.
Dimitri Rascalov
Game: Grand Theft Auto IV
Antagonist Group: Russian Mafia
Notes: Assuming the Player exacts revenge on Rascalov before the game's climax and kills him, the Antagonist group will become the Pegorino Family, headed by Jimmy Pegorino. Also, Rascalov is not the only antagonist of Grand Theft Auto IV. Darko Brevic is an antagonist as well.
Darko Brevic
Game: Grand Theft Auto IV
Antagonist Group: None
Notes: Niko Bellic has been wanting to kill Darko for a long time because Darko killed twelve members of their Serbian War unit. The only survivors were Niko, Bernie and Darko. Niko and Bernie have been searching for Brevic for so long, until the mission That Special Someone where the player faces a choice to kill Darko or to let him run away and live his life in shame.
Billy Grey
Game: The Lost and Damned
Antagonist Group: Grey was, for part of the game, head of The Lost Brotherhood but was later arrested and the role of president went to the protagonist Johnny Klebitz.
Wu Lee
Game: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
