The Maibatsu Corporation is a fictional Japanese automaker in the GTA series, known for manufacturing the Monstrosity SUV (advertised in GTA III). The name "Maibatsu" is derived from Daihatsu and is also based on Mitsubishi in GTA IV. In the Vice City Inquirer (GTA Vice City Stories), the Buy American Coalition asks to "take a mallet to a Maibatsu today".
