AmCo (also known as AmCo. Petroleum Company, AmCo. and AM) is an oil company on Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. The company has offices in Portland and Shoreside Vale, while the headquarters is located in Staunton Island and a filling station also located in Portland. On the sign, you can see logos of businesses that you will find later in the game, besides that the AmCo company colors are very similar to those of Amoco like the name, which can also be based on ARCO.

Portland

Branch

The first branch is a small building located on Trenton, next the garage Joey Leone and facing of Liberty Pharmaceuticals in Portland. It is surrounded by a few bars with a small parking lot at the entrance.

There is also a Hidden Package in GTA III.
There is also a flamethrower (above ceiling) in GTA LCS.

In the branch there are cars parked vary in each game:

Pony and Stallion in GTA III.
Faggio in GTA Liberty City Stories.

Petrol station

The AmCo petrol station is the only petrol station in the city, located in Harwood. In GTA III one can find hidden package on one of the ceilings, while Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories is more important, because you have to save some members of the Leone Family who were confined by police in the mission Smash and Grab.

Staunton Island

The AmCo headquarters is located on Torrington in Staunton Island.

Shoreside Vale

The third branch is a small building located on Pike Creek in Shoreside Vale. The building is quite wide and of medium size, painted in two shades of blue: light and dark with a pair of garages.

Trivia

AmCo makes a reference in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City being one of the sponsors of a Hotring Racer.
During the development of GTA III, the AM sign at the gas station originally said AmCo.
Originally, the walls at the gas station were made of brick.
