The Cuban-Haitian War was a gang war fought between the Los Cabrones and the Haitians in the events of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The participants of the war were Tommy Vercetti, Auntie Poulet, Umberto Robina, Pepe, and Rico.
The Start of the War
In 1986, the year that Tommy Vercetti arrived into Vice City, according to real estate mogul Avery Carrington, a Haitian gang lord was murdered.The Haitians believed a Cuban had murdered him but they had no proof to start the war in the first place. Avery Carrington needed to get hold of some land and asked Tommy to dress up as a Los Cabrone member and crash the ganglord's funeral and kill another ganglord in order to start the war between the 2 gangs. The Haitians quickly declared war on the Cubans and started attacking them. After the mission Tommy received a phone call by Umberto, who believed was talking to the recently killed Leo Teal at the beginning of the phone call but found out that Tommy had killed Leo and took his cell phone. Umberto was impressed and invited Tommy to a cafe that is owned by Umberto's father, Alberto Robina.
The Middle of the War
Umberto tested Tommy and he passed. Umberto quickly gave jobs to Tommy to weaken the Haitians. His first job was to steal a van filled with Drugs and take it back to the cafe. His next missions was to ambush a deal with Rico between the Haitians and the Sharks and take it back to cafe, but during the ambush Rico's boat blew up and Rico supposedly died but Tommy manages to bring the stuff back.
The Tables Turn
Shortly after launching successful attacks against the Haitians, Tommy was asked to meet someone in Little Haiti which turned out to be Haitian leader Auntie Poulet. Unfortunately for Tommy, when he got there, he got brainwashed by Auntie Poulet with a mind-alterning drugged tea and he does jobs against the Cubans/Los Cabrones without him remembering what he did. The first thing he did was use an RC plane and use it to blow up Cuban boats filled with drugs to turn the tables of the war. The final thing he did was to snipe Cuban members while they were in a fist fight with Haitian members. After what he "did" for the Haitians damaged his relationship with the Cubans and not only that he was not permitted back to Little Haiti. If Tommy does comes back, the Haitians will shoot at him.
The End of the War
Angered for what the Haitians did to him, Tommy came back to the Cafe Robina to do one final job for the Cubans/Los Cabrones: to blow up the Haitian Drugs Factory that the Cubans/Los Cabrones ambushed earlier. Tommy met up with Pepe and Rico, who supposedly survived the explosion, and attacked the the Drug Factory and planted bombs in it. The Cubans/Los Cabrones successfully destroyed the factory, making permanent enemies with the Haitians, forming an alliance with the Vercetti Gang and the Cubans/Los Cabrones, and the Cubans/Los Cabrones winning the gang war. The Haitians automatically become hostile to Tommy whenever they see him (the Haitians will shoot at Tommy should he attempt to return to Little Haiti).
