Dundreary logo.
Dundreary logo.

Dundreary is an automotive company in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V, possibly based on Lincoln Motors and/or Mercury ; the logo is reminiscent of both the Lincoln and Subaru logos. The name most likely comes from Lord Dundreary, a character from the 1858 British play, "Our American Cousin" -- this was the play President Abraham Lincoln was watching when he was assassinated, and as such, the name may be a refernce to Lincoln Motors. Although apparently based on Lincoln, Dundreary cars are mainly based on other vehicles which share platforms with Lincoln vehicles, with the exception of the Regina and Virgo, the latter primarily being a Lincoln.
