The Explosive Shotgun is a new shotgun introduced in the Grand Theft Auto IV DLC The Ballad of Gay Tony. It fires exploding shells hence the name, as well as standard buckshots depending on how far you are in the story; and fires automatically like the Assault Shotgun in The Lost and Damned. This shotgun is based off the AA-12. It is not fully automatic, and has the same rate of fire as the Combat Shotgun in GTA IV.
There are 2 Variants - Buckshot Rounds - Standard model, has the same firing sound as the Armsel Shotgun, and practically the same power and use.
Explosive Rounds - Model loaded with Grenade-Launching shells. This is very true, as the AA12 has these capabilities and Grenade Shells are available in real life for the AA12.
