No Escape? is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City given to protagonist Tommy Vercetti from the Malibu Club in Vice Point, Vice City as an asset mission.

Mission

Tommy Vercetti, having purchased the Malibu Club, begins to plan an armed robbery of the El Banco Corrupto Grande bank in Little Havana. Vercetti tells lawyer Ken Rosenberg his plans and Rosenberg suggests locksmith Cam Jones but advises Vercetti that he is in jail at the Washington Beach police station.

Vercetti then leaves the club and heads to the Washington Beach police station where he enters the building, quickly avoiding the officers by changing into a police uniform in the police locker room. Vercetti then collects a key card to free Jones, goes through the hallway and down to the holding cells, where he finds Jones. Vercetti lets Jones out of his cell and the two quickly exit the building. Vercetti then drives Jones to a nearby Pay 'n' Spray to lose the police attention before driving Jones to his Cam's Can Openers business in Viceport. There Jones agrees to join Vercetti's team for the planned bank robbery.

Script

Ken Rosenberg: Tommy! Hey, Tommy, look at this, this is great! I've us got this minibar installed.

Tommy Vercetti: We've got a whole bar downstairs, Ken.

Ken Rosenberg: Yeah, yeah, whatever. Well, I got the chalkboard you asked for.

Tommy Vercetti: Ah, that's the benefit of a law school education: the ability to follow instructions. Now, I need a safe man.

Ken Rosenberg: Oh, all right, well, let me think...safe, safe, safe, safe - I got it! This guy will blow you away! Ahh, nah, that schmuck. He's on the inside.

Tommy Vercetti: Where inside?

Ken Rosenberg: In a police headquarter cell awaiting transfer.

Tommy Vercetti: I think he's about to get paroled...

(If the police find Tommy armed with a weapon.)

Police: Put the weapon away or face the consequences!

Police: He's armed! Kill him!

(At the holding cells inside the police station)

Tommy Vercetti: Cam Jones?

Cam Jones: Yeah, that's me.

Tommy Vercetti: I'm busting you out.

Cam Jones: Whatever you say. Lose the heat and get me back to my place!

(At Cam's Can Openers after evading the police)

Tommy Vercetti: I'm gonna be doing a bank job, and you're my safe cracker.

Cam Jones: Beats losing my ass in a cell!

Trivia

P. Rowe's key card.
  • The mission, involving walking through the Washington Beach Police Station unhindered, provides the player the opportunity to obtain the Hidden Package located inside the building.
  • The key card stolen to free Cam Jones from the holding cells belongs to P. Rowe from Chuff Security Co.. This is strange, as Chuff Security Co. didn't even appear in GTA Vice City (Gruppe Sechs and DBP Security are the only known security companies in 1986). The same key card texture was also used in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, in the mission Black Project and for Millie Perkins' keycard in Key to Her Heart.
  • It is optional to wear the Cop outfit to complete this mission. The player can just walk inside the headquarters straightaway to collect the key card and free Cam Jones although it makes the mission significantly harder as it attracts police heat.
  • In the iOS and Android versions of GTA Vice City, a three-star wanted level is attained for breaking Cam Jones out instead of a four-star wanted level.
    • The change from a four-star wanted level to a three-star wanted level makes the mission easier as SWAT teams and Enforcers do not appear. However, Vice Squad members driving VCPD Cheetahs and wielding Uz-I submachine guns still appear.
