The Broker-Dukes Expressway is a major road running from Broker to Dukes. It is a highway that runs mostly along the eastern edge of the easternmost island of Liberty City, and links broker, and Dukes from each other. The Highway runs through areas in Broker and Dukes, including Hove Beach, Firefly Projects, Beechwood City, Francis International Airport and Meadows Park. It is based off of the real life Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in New York City. The Broker-Dukes Expressway is one of the longest continuous roads in Broker and Dukes, and is central to two of Brucie's Races.
Exits and Entrances
No Exits or Entrances are numbered in the game, so they will be listed in order from where it begins after the Broker Bridge, to where it ends at the intersection of Dukes Boulevard and [[Hewes Street].
1. Oneida Avenue Overpass
Immediately after leaving the Broker Bridge from Algonquin is the Oneida Avenue Overpass. Leaving the freeway will take you to Hove Beach or Downtown Broker. Driving straight will bring you to the large intersection in Firefly Projects, where the freeway structure runs between.
2. Large Intersection to Crockett Avenue and Shinnecock Avenue in Firefly Projects
This large intersection brings you to / from Hove Beach and Beachgate in the borough of Broker. From the Broker Bridge side, the left lane brings you to Hove Beach and Beachgate while the right to South Slopes and Shottler. If you drive from the north, you may continue the expressway by keeping the right lane while entering Hove Beach using the left lanes.
3. Hickcock Street, Sundance Street, Tutelo Avenue and [[Carson Street] intersections
You may use these intersections to access South Slopes, Shottler and Beechwood City conveniently from the expressway. They are guided by traffic lights. This part of the Broker-Dukes Expressway probably was a part of Mohegan Avenue, which is currently divided into two parts - near the Burger Shot in Beechwood City and Firefly Projects. There are some old avenue leftovers underneath the expressway between Carson Street and Tutelo Avenue. Being upgraded to an expressway, it explains why there are many intersections in this part of the expressway.
4. Saratoga Avenue Intersection
It is the most convenient entrance / exit to Willis and Cerveza Heights to / from the Broker-Dukes Expressway. Moreover, you may access Algonquin-Dukes Expressway in Saratoga Avenue, or you have to make a loop in Francis International Airport to access. The Saratoga Avenue intersection is the only way for the traffic from the Airport to enter the expressway southbound.
5. Entrance of Francis International Airport
You may drive to the Francis International Airport using the connect road built to the Broker-Dukes Expressway. It is the easiest way to access the Airport from southeastern Broker. You can only make an exit to the airport here, but not an entrance to the expressway.
6. Exit of Francis International Airport
Vehicles from Francis International may enter the expressway northbound in the northwestern part of the Airport area. Being one of the major exit of the Airport, the traffic is very high and traffic jam seems to be happening very often.
7. Cleves Avenue Intersection in Meadows Park
You may drive to the Meadows Park (near Pavilion Tower) and Willis area through this intersection. There is a gas station for the cars to replenish gasoline.
8. Dukes Boulevard and Hewes Street Intersection
This is the end of the northern side of the Broker-Dukes Expressway. Its continuation is the Dukes Boulevard, which is a major road in Dukes. You may go to Steinway and Bohan if you turn right, East Island City if you go straight forward, and Meadows Park if you turn left. Not far from the intersection is Sing Sing Avenue of Dukes Bay Bridge. As the intersection is a transport hub of northern Dukes, the traffic is quite high here.
Points of Interest
The following places of interest can be visited via the Broker-Dukes Expressway
EXITS AND INTERSECTIONS
No exits or entrances were numbered in the game, so they will be numbered in order here.
Albany Avenue Intersection
This is when Diamond Street in Chinatown intersects with Albany Avenue, immediately following the green traffic light and continuing straight Diamond Street turns into the Broker Bridge, and Broker-Dukes Expressway. If you are coming the opposite way and finishing the Expressway and the bridge, going straight on Diamond Street will take you through Chinatown, where the road is stopped by a ramp (use at your own will, will take you into City Hall) in the arch of Civic Citadel. Making a right takes you north, into Lower Easton and northern districts. Turning left takes you south to The Exchange untill Albany Avenue ends when it intersects with South Parkway.
This full set of exit and entrances intersect Oneida Avenue in Hove Beach. Where going north (right from Southbound exit, left from Northbound) takes you to Perestroika Cabaret Club, Outlook Park, and to Rotterdam Hill, and Downtown Broker. Going south will take you to Firefly Island and Crockett Avenue.
2. Crockett Avenue/Firefly Projects/Beachgate
This exit is different from a normal exit, in which case the elevated highway ends, and only by taking the exit on the right-side will have you continue on the Broker-Dukes Expressway, and going the other way, the exit that appears actually continues the highway, and going straight is actually the exit to Crockett Avenue and Firefly Projects. When you reach the beginning of Crockett Avenue finally, it leads you through Firefly Projects already. Immediately when you get to Crockett Avenue, there will be a toll booth looking gate on your right, which going through (not a real toll, no fare required) will take you into Beachgate.
3. Hickcock Street Intersection
As the freeway is now temporarily a boulevard with stoplights and intersections, the first our of five is to Hickcock street, where you can only travel west (right from Southbound, left from Northbound). It will take you through southern South Slopes to Montauk Avenue and Outlook Park.
4. Sundance Street Intersection
The next light after Hickcock Street is Sundance Street, where only allowing to travel west takes you through northern South Slopes to Montauk Avenue and Outlook Park.
5. Tutelo Avenue Intersection
The next light after Sundance Street is Tutelo Avenue, where the road curves to make you have to travel northward on Tutelo. Tutelo Avenue is on the eastern edge of Beechwood City.
6. Carson Street Intersection
The next light after Tutelo Avenue is Carson Street, which you can only travel west. Carson Street can be easier identified when you come across a Burger Shot at the Intersection. Carson Street runs parallel with the Algonquin-Dukes Expressway, and can lead you to central Schottler, including the medical center.
7. Saratoga Avenue Intersection
The last light is the Saratoga Avenue Intersection, allowing you only to travel North, Saratoga leads you to exits and entrances to the Algonquin-Dukes Expressway, and beyond leading you Willis.
8. FIA- Francis International Airport
As the expressway begins to become a highway form once more, the next exit takes you to the airport loop which encompasses the FIA parking lot. From the Oval you have access to the terminal, parking lot, LTA station, Willis, a police department, an entrance back to the BDE (Broker Dukes Expressway) North, as well as entrance to the ADE (Algonquin-Dukes Expressway) West, which also leads to BDE South.
9. ADE- Algonquin Dukes Expressway
Only directly accessible from southbound BDE, northbound travelers would either need to use the Saratoga Avenue Intersection to get to the Algonquin Dukes Expressway, or have to go 3/4 of the way around the airport loop to the entrance onto the ADE. From the ADE a direct exit to the BDE South is provided, to get to the BDE north either around the Airport Loop, or using the Saratoga Avenue exit to the Saratoga Avenue Intersection.
10. Meadows Park
The last exit before the road ends is an exit to Meadows Park accessible from both ways, and with entrances to both ways. The exit forms Cleves Avenue which runs through a small portion of Meadows Park before running through Willis.
11. Dukes Boulevard
Not long after the Meadows Park Exit an intersection occurs with Hewes Street, which afterward the Expressway becomes Dukes Boulevard. Continuing on the Dukes Boulevard will take you through East Island City, Cerveza Heights, and then to Downtown Broker. If you make a left on Hewes Street you go into Meadows Park, and eventually reach the McReary household. If you make a right you go through northern Steinway where you intersect the Dukes Bay Bridge (toll road).
