GTA: San Andreas
There are six different clothing stores that do business in San Andreas. Each has a fitting room, where you can "try on" items before you purchase them. If you have purchased an item, the name of the item on the purchase menu will have changed from blue to green.
When you purchase an article of clothing at one of these clothiers, any item it replaces is transferred to the wardrobe closet, and you can access it from any of the Safehouses that have wardrobe closets.
Clothing has a 4% influence on overall Respect, and 50% on Sex Appeal.
- Binco: opened during Nines and AKs
- ProLaps: opened during Nines and AKs
- SubUrban: opened during Nines and AKs
- Zip: opened when San Fierro is unlocked
- Victim: opened when Las Venturas is unlocked
- Didier Sachs: opened when the main story missions bring you back to Los Santos
Shooting or aiming a weapon at anyone in these stores will cause you to be banned from shopping there until you leave and return.
GTA IV
There are three different clothing stores (four total stores) in Liberty City. In each store you'll have to walk up to an article of clothing to try it on. If you have already purchased the item you will get a "you already own this" message although you can still purchase the clothing again. There are also clothes you will get to use to complete a mission and will get to keep after it is completed. Note: There are no gloves in GTA:IV
Clothing have no real effects outside of comments from Girlfriends and unlike previous GTA's changing clothes does not lower you wanted level.
