The 69th Street Diner
The 69th Street Diner is a restaurant located at the intersection of Bart St. and Mohawk Ave, Hove Beach, Broker, Liberty City. Niko Bellic can buy food there to replenish his health. Niko can take his friends or girlfriends out to the diner for a romantic meal. The diner is featured in the website www.peepthatshit.com.
Appearance
The 69th Street Diner has a "brick-style" appearance from the outside - it looks like a trailer. Inside, it is quite small and there are only about a dozen seats for the customers. The cashier is always a well-dressed woman that gets scared easily. Some of the customers are civilians while others carry pistols and Micro-SMGs to protect themselves. The ones that carry guns only use them when the player begins to open fire (on them or on others).
There are two entrances to the diner: a side entrance and a front entrance. It is hard to distinguish between the two since both doors look exactly the same. Outside the diner are many thugs with guns that use their weapons every time Niko disturbs them.
It is an annoyance when the player accidentally fires a weapon near the diner and all of the thugs outside the diner begin to open at them and eventually get the player to be killed.
Mission Appearances
In the mission Out of the Closet, Niko plays along with a romantic dinner then kills Tom Rivas at the diner for Brucie because Tom's cousin Lyle was already assassinated by Niko. Brucie doesn't want Tom to go to the police with this information!
