Spoiler Warning: Plot and/or ending details are in the text which follows. |
Michael is sitting on the living room couch when Trevor walks in. Trevor asks if Michael's family has come back, to which Michael says no. Michael states that he has reached an epiphany in his life, stating that he wants to make movies. Trevor doesn't believe him, saying that he is always a killer. Michael says that they will do one last heist, then the partnership is dissolved; however, Trevor objects to it, saying that crime is his way of life, and he has nothing else. Trevor has an outburst about how his friendship with Michael has been a lie, and then calmly asks Michael about who was buried in his place in North Yankton. Michael states that he never gave it any thought; however, Trevor deduces that Brad is in that grave and declares Michael a dead man.
In a rage, Trevor takes Michael's car and drives to the Sandy Shores Airfield. At the same time, Michael drives to Los Santos International Airport to take a commercial flight to intercept Trevor in Ludendorff. On the way, Michael calls Trevor, telling him there is no reason to go to North Yankton and tries to convince him to turn around; however, Trevor does not want to hear out Michael, believing that everything he says is a lie. Michael calls Dave Norton, telling him that Trevor knows about Brad's fate. As Michael enters the terminal, members of the Wei Cheng Triad plan to ambush Michael in Ludendorff, believing that he is Trevor's gay lover. On the way to the airfield, Trevor calls Nervous Ron to prep a plane so he can fly to North Yankton. Ron texts Trevor while flying, warning that the Triads are looking for him.
When Trevor arrives in Ludendorff, he is in the cemetery looking for Michael's grave; he finds it and proceeds to dig up the grave. When Michael arrives, he is in a rental car, driving to the cemetery. On the way, he has flashbacks about that fateful heist and its aftermath. Michael arrives just as Trevor is about to break open the casket. When Trevor opens the casket, his suspicions turn out to be true, as Brad's decaying body is found. The two argue about the events from 9 years back, with Michael stating that he did what he had to do to survive because he had a young family to think about. Their argument escalates to the point where the two draw Pistols against each other. During their standoff, a Triad ambushes them; Trevor throws his gun at Michael and flees, while Michael tries to shoot Trevor.
Because Michael took a commercial flight, he is reduced to using the Pistol and any weapons dropped by fallen Triads. Michael has to shoot his way out of the cemetery to reach his car. When Michael reaches the car, it fails to start, and he is forced to surrender to the surviving Triads. As Trevor flies back to Sandy Shores, he receives a call from Wei Cheng. Cheng states that he wanted to expand his operation into Blaine County; however, Trevor's business and temperament had hindered that endeavor, and his men are holding Michael hostage. Trevor mocks Cheng, telling him that he doesn't care about the Triads' business or Michael. Before Trevor lands at the airstrip, he receives an e-mail from Lamar Davis about delivering the cars which they have previously stolen to Devin Weston.
Due to the kidnapping, the player cannot switch to Michael until completing Fresh Meat.
