A Meat Cleaver is a machete-like tool used by butchers to cut slabs of meat into smaller pieces. In the Grand Theft Auto series, it is used as a melee weapon. It appears in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. Although it is a powerful weapon, it is, in fact, heavy. In GTA Vice City, the player cannot sprint after running pedestrians, as this can be a difficult weapon to master when it comes to running after a pedestrian, though this is not the case in GTA Liberty City Stories, as the player can still sprint even if the player is wielding heavy weaponry. It can dish out a large amount of damage, can dent up cars when hit, and, like other knives in the GTA series, can leave the victim bleeding out (while the victim runs away if still alive, they will leave a trail of blood drops on the ground).
