Pa Hootie is, in 1999, a resident of the Residential District of Anywhere City, an associate of the Rednecks and the father of May-Beth-Lou-Sarah-Jane Hootie. In October 1999, he receives an email from his daughter warning him of an arrival of someone who she describes as "Worse than them Zaibatsu dolts, abd with more book learnin' than them Scientists". The person described may be Claude Speed.
