The Hot Coffee modification (Hot Coffee mod) refers to a sexually explicit modification for the game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas discovered in 2004 as unused code on the PS2 DVD-ROM and released in June, 2005 for the PC platform as a downloadable modification, and released on the PS2 and Xbox soon after.

Much like any GTA related controversy, it was blown out of proportion and warped by both the media and many anti-gaming advocates. Leading to the game being pulled from shelves and the release of an unmoddable 2nd edition of GTASA.
