The NRG-500 is the fastest bike in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Description
If you find a NRG-500 in Easter Basin Docks and get in, it starts the NRG-500 challenge.
The NRG-500 is superseded by the NRG 900 in GTA IV.
Design
The bike is based on a Honda NSR500 and was used by Valentino Rossi in the 2001 500 cc World Championship, hence there is the distinctive number 46 on the front and the very similar names (which would be an anachronism given the fact San Andreas is set in 1992). The NRG-500 can appear with one of three subtly different exhaust pipes and one of two different bodykits.
Performance
Since it's a racing bike, it also handles very well.
Locations
- Blackfield, Las Venturas - In front of Bike School after getting gold on all tests. (Along with a Freeway)
- East Beach, Los Santos - In the parking hall at the second floor and the top.
- Easter Basin, San Fierro - Next to the containers at the docks. It starts the NRG-500 Challenge.
- Easter Bay International Airport, San Fierro - In between the two southern most hangars near the Maverick. (Appears randomly)
- It can also be stolen in one of the Las Venturas Street Races.
Variants
Trivia
- Pronouncing the name for the bike makes out the word "energy".
